2 Months

It has been exactly 

62 days.

9 weeks.

2 months.

Since Preston left.

Yes today has been an incredible day and I'm so happy to be able to mark off another

milestone on my calender. I can't even believe it's already been 2 months!

It's so true what every MG says..

The days go by slow but the weeks go by fast.

MONTH 1:

Said goodbye to the love of my life

Began my countdown

Wrote him DearElder.com letters constantly 

Chopped FIVE INCHES off

Got my first letter :)

My brother moved home.

Bring on the scarring childhood memories...

Haha just kidding :)

We're like best friends now!

My amazing missionary and his companion became zone leaders

Went on an Arthritis walk for my baby niece who has Juvenile Arthritis

 Preston took an interest in women's clothing....

Haha nah they're called Lavalavas

which are traditional skirts for men in Kiribati.

I GOT TO HOLD A BUNNY!!!!!!!

You have no idea how much I love those cute, adorable, furry animals...

Visited my favorite ginger and old roommate for a weekend.

It was so nice to get out of my house and see other people!!

Last but not least... got my wisdom teeth out!

ONE MONTH DOWN.

23 TO GO

MONTH 2:

Got a package from the most amazing and thoughtful guy :)

Sent a great friend off on his mission

Preston officially left the USA and headed off to the Philippines.

It was a 23 hour trip...

wowza.

But guess what!

I got to talk to him on the phone three times!

Not just once.

But THREE times!!!!

I love airports...

He arrived safely in the Philippines! 

Thank goodness...

Within his first week of being out in the field he already baptized someone.

Can I just say that is absolutely amazing??

I STARTED MY MISSION PAPERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And guess what else.

Finished and submitted them to SLC.

In 2 weeks I'll receive my call :)

My beautiful mom had her birthday and got to spend it with my 

entire family.. which is not a common thing.

Such a blessing.

Went on a spur of the moment temple square trip with my wonderful family.

So grateful families are forever.

We had our 8 month anniversary 7000 miles apart.

More in love than ever before.

My Future, My Everything

I just got done emailing my incredible boyfriend

and can I just say his mission is a blessing.

I can't even believe how much he's changed in just a few weeks 

of being out in the field! 

He has a completely new perspective on life and 

has treated me like I'm a princess.

Okay he's always treated me like a princess

(That was one of my conditions if we started dating)

but it's different now. 

AND I LOVE IT.

He's so sweet to me and I can tell his mission is changing him.

While we were emailing, he told me he wrote me a letter.

But since it takes so long for letters to get to me,

(Two to three weeks!!! Kill me now...)

He decided to take a picture of it and send it to me when he

had the opportunity to email.

So yes.. I got an amazing handwritten letter along with an amazing

hand-typed letter :)

When I read this, I seriously had to choke back tears.

This right here makes waiting worth it.

He's my future, my everything.

For all you MG's out there... 

Be GRATEFUL for his mission.

It truly is a blessing.

This is our official song and literally describes us perfectly! I'm the hot headed one in 

the relationship and he's the one that is always patient and calm. 

But even though we have our occasional spat we still

 love each other more than anything!   

Forever and Always by Parachute

This was our first concert together and it was one of the funnest nights we

ever spent together! Yes this song has a sad ending but we 

loved it because of the chorus and now at the 

end of all our letters or emails we write "love, forever and always"

Then by Brad Paisley

The last night we had together before we went our separate ways for Christmas break

we talked about how insane it was how much we loved each other

in such a short amount of time and how every day we manage to love each other

even more. We ended up listening to this song and it always just stuck.

This is my missionary song! Just listen to the lyrics and you'll understand :)

Kiss Me Slowly by Parachute

This is the song that puts me in tears whenever I listen to it.

When I think of Preston, I think of this song.

At night when I couldn't fall asleep he would sing this song to me.

Yes he would sing me to sleep.

And it was the most incredible thing.

It was our little moment together that no one could take away.

When he moved back to Colorado it was so hard for me to sleep at night because I couldn't

just call him up or have him come sing me this amazing song. 

He knew about this so he did the sweetest thing for me..

he recorded a version of him singing it for me.

Yes I listen to it almost every night.
